February 2018 // Days 36 - 42
This is my bird. Literally mine. Because I hand reared her 2 years ago and she has come back to see me :) She's stunnnnnig and so friendly, I really was this close to her and she tilts her head like a dog when I talk to her. You can see baby photos of her by clicking here.
You wouldn't believe me if I told you that this was where I live at 8am and at 11.30am it was sunny and not at all white.
So last night I threw up and for the first time in goodness knows how many years (at least 5), I had to call in sick to work. I managed to get out of bed only because Jake was on nights and so needed to be in the bed during the day, and so I lay on the sofa most of the day. That meant I was made to feel like an awful mother by this guy pulling his sad faces.
It was taken on my phone as I barely left the sofa and couldn't lift my legs let alone the camera.
Still poorly, still off work but I had to get up and do something because I had to get my sorted to go back to work. So I got off the sofa to take a photo (on the tripod - the camera was still too heavy for my shaky hands) for a blog post and then lay down for the rest of the day pretty much.
Forced myself to go back to work today and although I felt much better, I still wasn't 100%. My fab bosses told me to forget about job #3, so I had a slow walk home in the fresh air with my camera.
Woke up choked again. Completely floored with poorliness this week and to top it my external hard drive had packed in a day or two ago. Dad had picked me up and replacement and I went to meet Mam and Dad to collect it, plus get some ill-person supplies from the shop.
Home to transfer all my stuff to the new drive and you can see how long that took... (It actually 'only' took just under 5 hours.)
Just to prove I'm not the worst Mam ever, a happy photo of little guy too. He's had a busy couple days feeding his balloon obsession, which is an easy way to tire him out when I can't do much but it get's a little too much sometimes hence his panty face. Have a peek at video proof here.
Jake's brother is also visiting so my TV has been stolen and Baker's cage has been promoted to my living room.
